Dr. Jason Yakimishyn earned his Honours BA in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. While at Western, Dr. Jason was published in the Journal of Experimental Brain Research for assisting in visuo-motor memory data analysis and served as an Athletic Therapist with the Western Mustangs Football team.
Dr. Jason Yakimishyn went on to LIFE University in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated cum laude with his doctorate in chiropractic. As a former collegiate level hockey goaltender, he understands and appreciates the need for structural maintenance of the human body in order to promote optimal health and function. Dr. Jason is currently one of a handful of chiropractors in Canada to be advanced certified in Torque Release Technique – Chiropractic’s newest and most advanced form of healing. He prides himself on educating his patients so that they can understand the underlying cause of their health concerns and regain control of their health going forward.
In addition to working at APEX, Dr. Jason co-owns and operates a family-based chiropractic office in Oakville that specializes in pregnancy and paediatrics. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Jason enjoys golfing, skiing/snowboarding, and Crossfit exercise. He continues to study new research on natural health, fitness, and healing methods.
