Gary Roberts High Performance Training

The Athlete Matrix and Gary Roberts High Performance Training (GRHPT) have collaborated to bring the state of art program to Mississauga. All athletes will get access to the Gary Roberts Athlete Development App which includes the athletes workout programming, testing results, nutrition, and much more.

Preparatory Program

Registration Opens April 1st

  • Start Date: May 1st to July 3rd
  • Designed to prepare athletes for the off-season training
  • Open-Training: Athletes will have a list of dates and times that they can come in and train

Schedule:

  • Tuesdays- 8pm to 9:15pm
  • Thursdays- 8pm to 9:15pm
  • Fridays- 7pm to 8:15pm
  • Sundays- 9am to 10:15am

Junior Development – Level 1

2003’s, 2004’s, 2005’s

At this age, athletes are beginning to specialize in their sport and have matured both physically and emotionally to the point where they can handle an increased training load in their sessions. Although technique remains paramount, the athletes can now tolerate heavier external loads and more dynamic movement patterns. Soft tissue treatment and pre-hab routines become an important part of the training process to mitigate the injuries and tissue damage acquired during training sessions and competition. Building a general strength base will prepare the athlete for the increased force and contact in their games as well as help improve coordination and fluidity lost during large growing phases.

  • Off-season strength & conditioning training programs with video support
  • 2 strength based workouts per week and 1 speed and conditioning day
  • Off-season strength & conditioning training programs with video support
  • Nutrition tips and meal suggestions available on your phone or tablet
  • Daily questionnaire tracks hydration, sleep, nutrition and recovery
  • Weekly report summary generated by the system and sent to the athlete (and parents) via email
  • System scheduler allows you to keep track of your workouts, competitions and recovery days
  • System archive stores and maintains performance data in your athlete profile
  • Easy contact with GRHPT coaching staff should you need it
